Well when you put it like that, perhaps I was a little ambitious. All I know is, they say it's a form of insanity to keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Working out at home on my elliptical and trying to limit my intake of favourite foods just wasn't achieving results. And the strategies that worked in my 30s just wasn't helping in my 40s. It was time for a new plan. I literally mulled and prayed over it for an entire month before I sheepishly brought it up in our guesting meeting: what do you think about following my weight loss journey on television? Silence. Then…. Maggie spoke up. I was thinking of doing the same thing. Would you mind if I joined you Cheryl?
Well it was on. And having Maggie - my good friend and co-worker- do it with me made it so much better. A young busy mom in her 30s with two kids under 9. A busy, travelling career woman in her 40s. Our journeys and challenges were shared by so many! And our goal right out of the gate was - this can't be just about us. This has to ‘our' journey - people of all ages who want to change their lives. They say you have a much better chance to attain a goal if you do it with friends. We want to be that friend! Let's do this together. What do you say?
Follow Maggie and Cheryl's Weight Loss Journey every Tuesday until the finale on June 16th on "100 Huntley Street"
