It was the day I was dreading. The day a camera came to follow me during the hardest workout I've ever done. Me…sweating, straining and gasping for air. Not exactly the portrayal of myself I'd like to put on national television. But I'd started this public fitness and weight loss journey and I'd committed myself to authenticity, knowing that so many other people are on the exact same journey, trying to change their lives. My only hope was that this workout would be one of the easier ones - because Orangetheory workouts change every class.
But of course it wasn't going to happen! The workout that day was one of the hardest for me - focusing on all of my weak spots like arm and core strength (read ‘planks' here). Apparently God thought I needed a greater dose of humility! My only consolation is that I'm praying my workout inspires others to take a risk, join a gym and push themselves past what they think is their limit. The truth is, change is hard! And it's not going to happen without sweat and sore muscles - and you're probably not going to look pretty doing it. But it's so worth it.
