Project Fit Life Coach: Merry C. Lin

Welcome to the start of our journey together towards health and wellness!  I'm excited to coach our hosts, Cheryl Weber and Magdalene John, but especially YOU, our audience members!

I understand how hard it can be to lose weight, but especially, to keep it off.  When I talk to people about their challenges with weight loss, they tell me it's not their lack of knowledge of healthy eating and exercising that is the problem. Instead, it seems like there's something within themselves that sabotages them time and time again. 

You ever wonder what that something might be? Why is it that we seem to sabotage ourselves?  That's what we're going to be exploring through life coaching.

The coaching won't be focused on the what, when, where and how of eating but on WHY we eat the way we do.  We'll be looking at your own personal eating triggers so you can learn to change your problematic eating behaviours.

Very broadly, we'll be following this outline over the next few months:

1. Why it's hard to change our eating (what's influencing our eating, from our environment, to our bodies, to our learned behaviours);

2. What needs changing (uncovering our eating triggers);

3. How you can change (unlearn problematic behaviour and learn healthier choices);

4. And  how to KEEP the change (applying the change strategies on an ongoing basis).

Along the way, we'll talk about some of the common issues women struggle with, such as body image, insecurity, worrying too much about what people think, allowing our sense of worth to be dictated by others rather than God, societal influences around beauty and weight, and especially our tendency to put ourselves last in the list of priorities.  Busyness, stress, and caring for others can be huge issues that women struggle with that puts their health and well-being on the backburner. 

Below is the model we'll be following.  Basically, I'll be getting you to think more about how your thoughts, behaviours and emotions interact and affect your eating.

So join me, along with Cheryl and Maggie, as we journey towards health!  I know we're going to learn a lot along the way, but at the same time, hopefully have some fun together. We look forward to hearing from you as you learn with us and work towards your weight loss goals!
