Going To God In Prayer

Messy lives, desperation, complex problems, weariness, frustrations, loneliness, illness. These are times for prayer. Before you and I were ever born, those who lived before us faced the same things, and they prayed. Going all the way back to the people of the Bible. They too faced complex personal problems, financial needs and needed guidance. Today, right now you may be frustrated and at your wits end. Are you facing a problem that's much bigger than you are able to handle? Do like those you read about in the Bible. Somewhere, sometime, someone in the Bible faced a similar situation. They turned to God in prayer, expecting him to answer and he did.

No matter how desperate the situation, how deep your need, how acute your pain, God is present to help. During these days of "answer the call" we're going to look at people in the Bible who called out to God in prayer and how God answered. And in the process, we're going to challenge each other and encourage each other, no matter the challenges we face today God answers prayer. The prayers of the Bible from yesterday still work today and tomorrow. Believe. Preserve. He will answer.

Dear God, sometimes my "testing" season seems so long. Please give me courage to endure until the end. Help me not to bail! You said you would bless me for hanging in there - I will not give up on you or your promises. You are with me and will see me through this trial.
